We are Offroad Images - Specialising in Photography with a difference.
Offroad Images are Professional photographers shooting commercial photography and video for clients in the 4WD scene of Australia.
We have also been experimenting with the use of RC technologies in enabling use to capture something different for our clients.
Therefore, some of what you see might actually be testing for the larger format rigs which we utilise for shooting real 4X4s.
We hope you enjoy what we produce and would encourage you to get behind us with any ideas of what you would like to see.

What a Disaster the spares overhanging and too much weight over the rear axel half box lol
Cheers mate 👍
What was the durability of those portals, how many times have you serviced it to maintain?
where u get da body kit?
Its actually a Traxxas Nitro body converted
@@OffroadImages ur crazy 🔥
Hi mate, I'm 6'4" and keen to get the seat further back (i.e. to extend the rails or mount the whole seat further back from the steering wheel). Do you know of anyone selling aftermarket rails/seats that can give additional slide? I somewhat foolishly thought it'd be an easy one to sort out, but I'm struggling to find other tall drivers who've tackled this.
The Recaro seats as a standard provide additional space. I am actually a long legged 6'4" also and don't need to place the seat all the way back.
@@OffroadImages That's awesome, thank you for that. Do you remember which Recaros you fitted?
Im confused. Are these real trucks or rc?
These are real trucks
@OffroadImages Oh ok cool, I thought so but wasn't 100% sure, especially nowadays with video photography. People are doing amazing things. Beautiful Trucks Sir, absolutely amazing 💯
Wow I just now came across this, what an amazing build. Great job man!!
Its actually for sale if you are interested
@OffroadImages do you have it listed somewhere, ebay, etc ? What are you asking, or would you rather not say on this platform? Thanks
Hallo, need your information please. Is it used differential lock for front, rear or centre diff?? 🙏
Awesome,,almost to scale until you see them huge boulders flying at someone LOL
PVS Paddle Shift Winch Controls
It’s shame you had to change everything thing on this heapaaaa shit V8 79. I reckon everyone driving around in a 79 these days are spewin that didn’t just buy a 2500 RAM. Haha the most useless over rated car on earth ladies and gentlemen…….the 1VD VD dual cab 79 series Toyota Landcruiser! Complete crapppppp
Love the Toyota, it's solid it's built tough... proceeds to tell us it's the accessories and not Toyota it's solid and tough.
what head unit is that?
This is a PVS Automotive head unit (Sorry for the late reply)
I just watched this video and it had some good info , but where is part 2 and 3 ? I am very interested in the portal axle conversion ! There seems to be almost no PROs vs CONs , what makes them good , what makes them bad , how well do they last , are they noisy and so on ?
Sorry for the delay
Msa all the way
100 percent
200k on factory engine?
Factory engines can probably do 2M if properly looked after
That’s really detailed. I would (almost) feel bad about wheeling that. Almost. 😉
Are episodes 2 & 3 on their way?
UFFF the best of the best greetings friend from Guatemala City
sick video! bring back the RC stuff! you got a new sub from me!
Top notch mate, perfect camera car!
cheers mate
what time do the portals come in?
sorry for the delays
how much does it cost to build a truck like that?
Love then when is the next episode?
Helluva garden shed !!
200,000 dollars or km. Top Rig.
In cab winch controls are probably the cheapest and best mod to a vehicle . Just wiring power to solenoids
I prefer a recently dirty vehicle
That’s fair enough
Amazing video! Thanks guys! Definitely going to buy a ticket now! Wish me luck! 😍🤩🥳🤠 P.S. I've already got an Akubra and how good is Maroon!? Queenslander!!!!
Those tiny mirrors are an embarrassment
Hi Michael , Great to see everything’s held up ! Met you at arb brookvale open day . I had the silver dual cab and was chatting with you about Changi from A1 how we knew each other . Look forward to more videos coming out ! Ray
What a beautiful machine!!!!!!
Thanks heaps 👍
Great video Michael, love the 79. I'd love some more info on the iridium setup and antenna that you're using. Cheers
Cheers for the feedback guys. It’s a fairly basic setup really. When the cabin is powered, the unit powers up but is in standby. In order to utilise it, you lift the units antennae, which allows you to connect using your phone. You can text or make calls at the rates set to your plan. We use Pivotel.
What about portal axle reliability?
The best way I can answer this is that if I built another 79 tomorrow, I’d definitely have portals in it 👍 … love ‘em
First fell in love with this mighty 79 a long time ago. How’s the engine holding up , injectors or starter motor needed any attention yet? Cheers matey
That’s great to hear your feedback Harry. Everything is all good… touch wood. We have given a good run that’s for sure 👍
@@OffroadImages know of a single turbo vdj making it toi 765k before partial rebuild, have heard of one at 1.1million. mine is a 400 thou no under bonnet repairs
great video to hear how the build has held up!! still looks very good. What about the Portals.... were they a good option?
A great option… wouldn’t build another 79 without Portals. 👍
Very informative and honest video mate keep them coming
Nice machine.
The dream setup!
Insane set up
Cheers mate
Awesome video Michael. Good to see the truck again and all the mods and changes. Great to see the hows and why's of the changes you've made
Cheers mate... really appreciate it 👍
Michael thanks for the video and looking forward to the next two videos 👍
Cheers mate... appreciate your feedback 👍
Sounds awesome to justify dual 4 inch is the engine modified
Had to lay the hobby aside but now mine's up on 3s and super swampers
That is sick !!!
Cheers mate
Is there much of a note difference between twin 4” dpf back and single 4” dpf back? Also do you do a twin for the 76series?
